Featured Project: Aerosol Warfare, Est. 1992

Aerosol Warfare began as a published and distributed graffiti video magazine (on old school vhs) in the early 1990s. GONZO247 still has the original archival footage in storage! Originally GONZO247 belonged to a graffiti crew called Underground Productions Crew (UPC) and as they painted GONZO would document with video cameras. This became a series of underground footage and homemade documentaries that got distributed worldwide. The video also became an invitation to other graffiti artists from around the world to send their recorded content to Houston. Using a pen pal video and letter writing through the mail system, GONZO247 managed to captured and collected Houston graffiti history in the making. As GONZO247 and crew became known for the video magazine, Aerosol Warfare, the crew and collective name caught on with others to be the same. Aerosol Warfare has also evolved into a gallery space, studio space, and art group. Today Aerosol Warfare is located inside GONZO247’s studio as an archive, art collection and window to the early on graffiti art history.
