Featured Project: The Calm and The Courage Mural at Camden Downtown by GONZO247, 2020

The Calm and The Courage Public Art Mural is located at Camden Downtown, 1515 Austin St, Houston, Texas. It was completed in 2020by Artist GONZO247 as another addition to his Hybrid of Humanity Art Series and Style. "Hybrid of Humanity" is the absorption of culture and influential experiences. Diversity acting as one and represented in shapes and colors.” This is a visual interpretation of my personal interactions with indigenous cultures in North America, Africa, Asia and Northern Europe. I Internalize these experiences, unique moments, and memorable times spent interacting, learning and sharing. I mash up this content with traditional elements of graffiti art culture to create an artistic representation of humanity working as one. This large mural consists of two adjacent walls (south wall 30’x 169’ and west wall 30’ x 128’) totaling approximately 8,901 sq ft.
